[Wellborne Suffolk Well Pump Repair](https://wellbornesuffolkwellpumprepair.com/) handles well pump repair and replacement, pressure tanks and controls, new and replacement wells, well sealing, rehabilitation, and water testing and treatment for homes, farms and businesses in Suffolk, Virginia and the communities within about 30 miles.

## What we work on

Most Suffolk homes on private water draw from deep wells, with a submersible pump hanging hundreds of feet down. The work we do starts from that: deep submersibles and their controls, shallow jet-pump and irrigation wells, pressure tanks and switches, constant pressure systems, new wells and replacement wells, sealing old wells, and testing and treating the water. The [full list of services](https://wellbornesuffolkwellpumprepair.com/#services) is on the home page.

## How the work is done

- **Test before we pull.** Power, the pressure switch, the control box, the tank and the pump's amp draw are tested, in that order, before anything comes out of the well.
- **Explain before we start.** You hear what the readings showed and what the work involves before it goes ahead.
- **Size the system as one.** Pump, tank and switch are matched to each other and to the well's depth, water level and yield.
- **Inspect while it is out.** Pipe, splices and check valves are inspected whenever a pump is pulled.
- **Disinfect, then test.** Every well that is opened is disinfected before the water is used, as Virginia's rules require, and you are told when to take a bacteria sample.

## Who carries out the work

Work booked through Wellborne is carried out by licensed and insured water well contractors certified by Virginia's DPOR as water well systems providers. You can ask for the certification number on any job and check it on DPOR's license lookup.

## How pricing is explained

We publish a price range only where the evidence supports one, and we say where a figure comes from. Most well work is priced after testing at the well, because the depth, the fault and the parts found decide the job. The [cost guide](https://wellbornesuffolkwellpumprepair.com/guide/well-pump-repair-cost/) and the [estimator](https://wellbornesuffolkwellpumprepair.com/tools/well-pump-cost-estimator/) explain what moves the price.
